A pool of qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff indeterminate (permanent) and determinate(temporary) positions in Montreal in the Departement of National Defense.
This pool may be used to staff identical or similar positions within the Department with various tenures such as indeterminate and term.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. EDUCATION:
Hold a valid journeyman competency in refrigeration issued by the Commission de la construction du Quebec (CCQ)
AND/OR
Hold a valid journeyman competency in refrigeration issued by Emploi-Quebec or interprovincial (red seal)
AND/OR
Hold a valid military trade certification as a refrigeration and mechanical technician level QL-05 or DP2
Hold a valid halocarbon environmental awareness certificate.
EXPERIENCE:
Recent* and significant**experience as a refrigeration technician journeyman
*within the last two years
**minimum of twelve months

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCES:
Experience with preventive maintenance of air compressor and components connected to the air system
Experience with preventive maintenance and repair of commercial and industrial air conditioning systems.
ORGANIZATIONAL NEED:
The Department of National Defense may wish to increase employment equity representation, specifically through the recruitment of visible minorities.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Have or be able to obtain a National Defense drivers licence (DND 404)
Reliability Status security clearance
Have a valid class 5 Quebec driver’s licence.
To be able to present a satisfactory driver report from the SAAQ.
Able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Be able to lift a loads of 20 KG.
Consent to being on a recall list and be able to respond quickly.
Consent to wear a full personal protective equipment.
Be available and willing to work overtime.
