Intent of the process

A pool will be created and will be used to staff identical or similar positions for different tenures (indeterminate, specified period, acting, deployment, secondment or assignment).

Your résumé.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

1.Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the CS group.
2.The candidate must provide a proof confirming that the courses taken by the candidate correspond to two years in a post-secondary education program. The diploma must be issued by a recognized educational institution (e.g. community college, CEGEP or university). The candidate will be asked to present this proof during the interview.

Degree equivalency

Significant* and recent**experience in administration or technical support of work stations (Win7 and Win8) or servers (Win2008 and +) in a network Microsoft Windows environment.

*“Significant experience” means the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of related activities for a period of approximately two (2) years.

**“Recent experience” is defined as experience that has been obtained within approximately the last five (5) years.

Knowledge of project management principles.

Knowledge of computers, their software and peripherals, Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN), IT telecommunications, IT security concepts and principles and the system architectures in client-server and web environments.

Knowledge of Windows Win7, Win8 and Win10 Operating Systems.

Knowledge of basic main concepts of IT security.

Knowledge of MS-Windows Server 2012 and + Operating Systems.
