Intent of the process

This is an anticipatory process to create a pool of qualified candidates to staff future vacancies. This selection process may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level with various linguistic profiles and security requirements, conditions of employment as well as various tenures (such as Indeterminate, Specified Period, Acting, Deployment, Assignment and Secondment) across the Public Health Agency of Canada and Health Canada. As a result of the potential and possible use of the selection process and subsequent pool by hiring managers, we encourage all employees seeking this type of position and/or group and level to apply.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
Experience in planning and coordinating facilities, telecommunications or informatics requirements for a work group.
Experience in providing administrative support for the management of a budget including producing financial reports, verifying availability of funds, and tracking expenditures and commitments.
Experience in providing administrative support related to human resources, including forecasting human resources requirements.
Experience in producing reports on program/project activities.
Experience in providing support on financial, human resources or administrative policies and procedures.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Experience (Asset):
Experience in developing operating procedures and guidelines.
Experience in preparing contract requirements (Statements of Work, evaluation grids, etc) in the Federal Public Service.
Experience in providing explanations and advice on the Government of Canada Contracting Regulations.
Experience in using a financial system such as SAP.
Experience in monitoring projects, identifying problems with project timing or cost and recommending corrective action.
Experience in supervising staff.
