ED1: Two years of post-secondary education or an acceptable combination of education, training and/ or experience.

Degree equivalency

EX1: *Recent and significant experience in conducting research, carrying out analysis and making recommendations
EX2: * Recent and significant experience in writing of reports or editorials or education materials
EX3: * Recent and significant experience in using Microsoft Office; specifically, Power Point, Excel and Word
EX4: * Recent and significant experience in building relationships with stakeholders including other government organizations/agencies or non-government organizations
EX5: * Recent and significant experience in coordinating and delivering training
EX6: Experience in the operation of pleasure craft or small commercial vessels or fishing vessels

* Recent and significant is defined as approximately one year within the last three years

K1: Knowledge of CSA, 2001 and regulations relating to small vessel safety
K2: Knowledge of safe boating practices and procedures
K3: Knowledge of small vessel safety equipment

C1: Demonstrating integrity and respect
C2: Thinking Things Through
C3: Working effective others
C4: Showing initiative and being action-oriented

AED1: Post-Secondary degree in education, communication or in any other field relevant to the position

Reliability Status security clearance

• Travel for extended periods of time.
• Travel by helicopter, small aircraft, vessel and special purpose vehicles in various weather conditions and over various terrains.
• Board unstable platforms such as boats and floating docks.
• Work overtime and/or irregular hours on short notice.
• Possession of a valid Provincial/ Territorial driver’s license.
• Possession of an approved Pleasure Craft Operators Card (PCOC).
