In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Occupational Certification Requirements:
Possession of a valid Master 500 Gross Tonnage
Near Coastal certificate
STCW endorsed
Marine Advanced first aid certificate

Experience:
Recent experience (within the last 5 years) in the navigation and operation of Small Vessels

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Occupational Certification:
WHMIS

Experience:
Experience operating harbour tugs
Experience in managing personnel
Experience in towing

Ability to stand a bridge watch
Ability to adapt to handling harbor tug operations with or without a pilot
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Available to work unexpected and scheduled overtime as required
Willingness to proceed on coastal voyages

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status
Health Canada and seafarers medical suitable for a seagoing position
The wearing of uniform, safety footwear and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory
