Who can apply: Former or current students who have completed a minimum of one term in the federal government in the Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP), Post-secondary Co-op / Internship Program (co-op), or Research Affiliate Program (RAP), who have graduated or will soon be graduating from a recognized post-secondary institution.

Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to identify students or recent graduates*, who were formally employed with the government as part of a student program (FSWEP, RAP, co-op) and who are not already employees of the public service, for entry-level job opportunities within the department. Management may consider this inventory when staffing their positions.

*Recent graduates are normally defined as having completed their studies within the past 24 months. Some exceptions may apply.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. Some essential and other qualifications will be assessed through your application. It is your responsibility to provide appropriate examples that illustrate how you meet each qualification. Failing to do so could result in your application being rejected.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

You are a current or former FSWEP, RAP or co-op student employed with the federal government.

You have recently received or expect to complete a degree, applied degree, or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution (e.g. college, CEGEP, university), that will be obtained by June 30, 2018.
