The intent of this appointment process is to establish a fully assessed pool of qualified candidates. The immediate use of the pool will be to staff one position in Kingston. However, the results of this process may be used to staff same or similar positions for future vacancies of various tenures at Public Services and Procurement Canada in the Ontario Region and the National Capital Region.

A secondary school diploma
Experience:
Operating and maintaining electrical or mechanical equipment
Microsoft Office
Diploma/Certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution in a mechanical or electrical field
Restricted Maritime Voluntary Radio Certificate
Certifications of interest include, but not limited to: Electrician, General Mechanic, Millwright, Tool and Die
Experience in maintaining machinery
Experience in machinery overhaul
English essential
Information on language requirements
Knowledge of general maintenance, grounds keeping and repair practices
Knowledge of occupational safe working practices

Valid Class G driver’s license
Travel within the Ontario Region and occasional overnight in a hotel
