Intent of the process

ANTICIPATORY

This process may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates which could be used to staff similar positions with various linguistic profiles (Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB, Bilingual Imperative CBC/CBC, Bilingual Imperative CCC/CCC, English essential, French Essential), various security profiles and various tenures (such as Indeterminate, Specified Period, Deployment, Acting, Assignment, and Secondment) at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

EDUCATION

The minimum standard is:
- A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.

Notes:
1. Based on their education, training and/or experience, indeterminate incumbents of positions in the IS classification are deemed to meet the minimum education standard whenever a bachelor's degree without specialization is called for in a position classified as IS.
2. At the manager's discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience, may serve as an alternative to the minimum education standard.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

- *Recent and significant experience in developing and being the primary coordinator for effective Web communications plans and/or Web products.
- *Recent and significant experience in writing and editing Web content intended for an international mass audience.
- Experience in providing Web communications advice to your manager or director.
- *Recent and significant experience leading Web project(s) in collaboration with coders, programmers and/or subject matter experts.
- Recent experience in conducting quality assurance checks on websites according to Government of Canada Web standards.

* Recent and significant experience means sufficient variety, depth and breadth of experience to display a working knowledge in the area of expertise acquired over a period of at least 6 months within the last two years.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

ASSET EXPERIENCE

- Experience providing advice for websites using Web Experience Toolkit 4 (WET4) technology and Canada.ca templates
- Experience in Web usability design and testing methodology
