Conditions of employment

Secret security clearance

Required to possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Required to pass a pre-employment Category III medical for Transportation Security Inspectors and pass a periodic Category II medical every 5 years.

Required to perform stand-by duties on a 24/7 basis.

Required to travel on short notice for extended periods regionally, domestically and internationally using various modes of transportation.

Required to work overtime and/or irregular hours as assigned including on short notice.

Other information

Please note that if you have previously participated in a Transportation Security Inspector selection process with Transport Canada, your results will be applied to the current process for a period of 6 months.

It is important to note that you are applying for potential needs rather than a particular position.
