A pool of qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff similar positions within Employment and Social Development Canada with various tenures and/or various language requirements and/or locations.

EDUCATION

A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

1. Experience working on projects in a team environment.
2. Experience in the IT development, implementation and validation of business procedures or software applications.
3. Experience in researching business documentation. This can include procedures, processes, user manuals, reports, policy and legislation to identify and define business requirements.
4. Experience in analyzing clients’ requests and proposing solutions.
5. Experience writing and presenting formal documentation.

1. Experience working with business users and IT development team on various solutions in support of business lines.
2. Experience analyzing/solving problems.
3. Experience in building and maintaining good client relationships.
4. Experience in advising clients on the implications of their decisions and in proposing alternative approaches.
5. Experience in reviewing and interpreting business requirements.
6. Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
7. Experience working in application development or operational/transactional environment.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Willingness to occasionally work overtime and on weekends.
• Willingness to work virtually.
• Some positions may require a physical presence in certain locations.

Candidates must meet the essential qualifications to be appointed to a position.

The essential qualifications that are listed in the statement of merit criteria are mandatory. A pass mark will be established for each. Applicants may be appointed to the position even though he/she does meet any or all of the asset qualifications. However, meeting these criteria is desirable and may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. In the event that there are as many applicants who meet the essential qualifications as there are vacancies, the manager may decide not to assess some or all of the asset qualifications.

An assignment, secondment or an acting appointment is a temporary resourcing option.
