Intent of the process

A qualified pool of candidates may be established to staff this and other similar positions, at various locations in Newfoundland & Labrador, at the CR-05 group and level for term, indeterminate or acting at full or part-time hours.

Should a CM be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to another category for the member. Notification regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

Should a PS be found qualified and selected for appointment, notification regarding the PS appointment will be posted accordingly on www.jobs.gc.ca.

EDUCATION
Successful completion of two years of secondary school or employer-approved alternatives (a satisfactory score on the PSC test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience).

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
Experience using computer applications including two of the following: databases, email, spreadsheets or word processing.

Experience providing advice or guidance to the general public or to clients.

Experience performing administrative support services.

Experience working in a law enforcement and/or legal environment.

Experience transcribing documents from voice recorders, digital media or handwritten statements/reports.

Experience providing financial support services such as the collection and recording of monies received, handling petty cash funds, verifying supplier invoices or preparing invoices.

Experience using law enforcement databases such as Police Reporting and Occurrence System (PROS) or Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC).
