This is an inventory advertisement for casual employment. Casual employment is a temporary form of employment for a maximum of 90 working days per department in a calendar year. A casual worker is not eligible to apply to internal job opportunities.

This inventory is for casual employment only which is a temporary employment of 90 workings days or less in a calendar year.

Your résumé.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. Some essential and other qualifications will be assessed through your application. It is your responsibility to provide appropriate examples that illustrate how you meet each qualification. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Possession of a valid interprovincial journeyman certification (Red Seal) or valid provincial certificate in the applicable province of employment as a Carpenter or any other equivalency recognized by the provincial or territorial authority such as a Qualification Level (QL) 5 - Construction Technician.

Experience working as a carpenter.

Operational Requirements :

May be required to work overtime on occasion.
May be required to work outdoors and in adverse weather conditions for extended periods of time.
May be required, but not limited to, enter confined spaces, climb ladders, erect scaffolds, work on elevated devices, crouching and/or kneeling, work at heights.
May be required to obtain and maintain a valid DND 404 driving permit.
Must have CSA approved steel-toe boots and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
May be required to travel.
