In order for your application to be considered, you must submit a completed questionnaire. Under the general direction of the Director, Capital Division, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for:
- Leading the development and interpretation of major capital and related policies and guidelines for financial institutions;
- Representing OSFI in international forums to develop supervisory policies; and
- Providing technical support to financial institutions and others within OSFI related to market risk or structural interest rate risk, including assisting in the evaluation of these areas of risk and their appropriate regulatory treatment.
The immediate need is to staff one position with a language requirement of English essential on an indeterminate basis.
A pool of qualified or partially qualified candidates may be created to staff similar positions with various tenures (indeterminate, term, acting, etc.), linguistic requirements (bilingual imperative, English or French essential, etc.), linguistic profiles (CBC/CBC, BBB/BBB, etc.) and/or security requirements (reliability, secret, etc.) within the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions.

EDUCATION
- Graduation with a degree* from a recognized university with an acceptable specialization in economics, commerce, business administration, finance, accounting, actuarial science or public administration.

EXPERIENCE
- Significant** and recent*** experience in prudential policy development or monitoring policy compliance and performance for financial institutions.
- Experience in making presentations to senior management.
- Experience in writing reports that present complex issues, develop options and make well-reasoned recommendations.
- Experience conducting financial analyses.
**Significant is defined as the breath and complexity of experience that would normally be acquired within 2 years, where the experience was part of the regular work duties of the candidate.
***Recent is defined as within the last 5 years.
ASSET EDUCATION
- A graduate degree**** with an acceptable specialization in economics, commerce, business administration, finance, accounting, actuarial science or public administration.
- A professional designation related to the duties of the position such as a CPA (CA, CGA, CMA), CFA, CRM, or CIA.

ASSET EXPERIENCE
- Experience in the application of mathematical and other measures of risk used for modeling in the financial industry, especially with respect to market risk or structural interest risk.
- Experience in analysing risks relevant to the operations of financial institutions.
