EDUCATION:
- Successful completion of two years secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and / or relevant experience.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in food handling practices and techniques in an institutional food services operation.
- Experience in operating a personal computer using at least two of the following MS Office Suite applications: Excel, Word or Outlook.
- Experience in at least two of the following: working with cash sales, deposits, or standing advances.
- Experience supervising a food services work team, including experience in at least two of the following: producing shift schedules, monitoring timesheets or preparing performance evaluations.

- Knowledge of sanitation and hygiene principles and procedures related to a food service operation.
- Knowledge of safety and accident prevention practices related to a food service operation.
- Knowledge of formal table services and dining room operations.
ABILITIES AND SKILLS:
- Ability to apply the operational collective agreement.
- Ability to apply conflict resolution techniques.
- Ability to supervise staff, including planning, prioritizing and delegating work.
- Ability to resolve operating difficulties with a Point of Sale Terminal (POST).
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
- Ability to communicate effective orally.

ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS:

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 Kg in accordance with general safety practices.
- Requirement to adhere to the Food Safety Code of Practice.
