APPLICATION PROCESS:
Your application MUST include: your resume, your latest Law School transcript, and sample of writing (ex: A project you have undertaken as part of your university studies in law).
Step #1 - You must apply online via the Public Service Resourcing System, at www.canada.ca/government-jobs, before the closing date. When completing your application, you will need to "copy-paste" the text from your résumé into the fields provided for this purpose on your application.
Step #2 - You must also send a copy of your most recent OFFICIAL LAW school transcript, and your writing sample by email to before the closing date.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) is an independent arm's length agency that reports to Parliament through the President of the Queen's Privy Council. The organization aspires to be a modern world-class organization that evolves and adapts as it strives to influence changes that advance transportation safety. The TSB enjoys a strong and credible reputation in Canada and around the world.
The TSB is a small organization with approximately 220 employees and 5 Board Members. The organization operates in a decentralized manner through 10 locations across Canada. Employees work in a collegial and collaborative environment.

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. Some essential and other qualifications will be assessed through your application. It is your responsibility to provide appropriate examples that illustrate how you meet each qualification. Failing to do so could result in your application being rejected.
For Articling Students (not yet eligible for membership in the Bar of one of the provinces or territories of Canada or in the Order of Notaries in the Province of Quebec), the minimum standard is:
A bachelor of law degree.
*Please note that the student must be a Common law student or a national program.
** Please note that the articling principal is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and can only supervise based on the criteria practice of the Ontario Bar.
Note: At the time of appointment, the Articling Student candidate must have a Bachelor of Law Degree (LL.B).
The offer of employment will be conditional upon providing proof of receipt of a LL.B before the appointment date.
Experience in conducting legal research.
Experience in drafting various legal documents.
Bilingual - Imperative (CCB/CCB)
