Intent of the process

A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar or identical positions with various tenures (such as Indeterminate, Specified Period, Acting). Once established, the qualified pool will be valid for twelve (12) months with the possibility of being extended

A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Significant* experience in airport operations.

Significant* experience in managing relationships with multiple stakeholders or clients.

Significant* experience in managing a budget.

Significant* experience in managing employees, including employee performance.

*Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience associated with having performed a broad range of various, complex related activities normally acquired over a period of two (2) years.

Graduation with a Bachelor's degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in an area relevant to the position.

Degree equivalency

Experience managing operations that rely on heavy equipment.
Experience managing safety and health in the workplace.
Experience with Safety Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9002 or similar).
Experience in administering a capital budget.
Experience in project management.
Experience in emergency response services & operations.

Operational Requirement:
Possession of a valid provincial or territorial driver's license.

Conditions of employment
