Intent of the process

This process will be used to create a pool of qualified candidates for similar positions with various tenures (temporary, permanent), at Health Canada, Quebec Region. Should the selected candidate already be a public servant, the pool could also be used for acting appointments.

Studies:
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in business administration, public administration, or in any other field related to the functions of the position (for example: accounting, finance).

Degree equivalency

Experience:
1) Recent and significant *experience in financial management or financial analysis or accounting management

2) Recent and significant *experience in the coordination of committees or working groups.

3) Recent and significant *experience in financial verifications and the development of default prevention plans.

*Recent and significant: 3 years over the course of the last 5 years

Work experience with First Nations and Inuit

Work experience in political analysis

Experience formulating strategies and suggestions regarding financial agreements and other mechanism of financing

Once the candidates have been assessed and the pool is created, it will not be possible for the candidates in this pool to add additional information regarding merit criteria for future consideration, except for linguistic results. Also, no additional candidates will be added to the pool for all of its duration.

Candidates who have been fully assessed and found to have met all essential qualifications except official language requirements may update their second-language evaluation (SLE) results for as long as the pool is/pools are valid. N.B.: Each candidate can only undergo SLE testing one time within the context of an appointment process; any update to a candidate's linguistic profile must be as a result of subsequent SLE testing done outside of this appointment process.

N.B.: Candidates must meet each essential qualification to be appointed to the position. A candidate may be appointed to the position even though he/she does not meet any or all of the asset qualifications or organizational needs. However, meeting some of these criteria is desirable and may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed.
