These employment opportunities will be based on anticipated needs within the Materiel Group in the Department of National Defence (DND).
At this time, opportunities for the EG, EL, PG, and ENG streams are positions located in the National Capital Region (NCR) only. Potential opportunities for the TI stream could be located in Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montréal, Québec City, and the NCR.

For EN-ENG-02 Stream: Graduation by December 31, 2017 with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in mechanical engineering, aeronautical engineering, aerospace engineering, naval architecture engineering, software engineering, electrical/electronic engineering, civil engineering, industrial engineering, materials engineering, chemical engineering or another relevant engineering specialty.
For PG-02 Stream: Graduation by December 31, 2017 with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
For EG-03 Stream: Graduation by December 31, 2017 with a three-year Technologist Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution.
For EL-03 Stream: Graduation by December 31, 2017 with a three-year Electronics Technologist Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution.
For TI-03 Stream: Graduation by December 31, 2017 with a diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in a technology program such as: electrical, electronic, aerospace, mechanical, maritime, software or industrial engineering technology.
For EN-ENG-02 Stream: Masters or PhD from a recognized post-secondary institution in mechanical engineering, aeronautical engineering, aerospace engineering, naval architecture engineering, software engineering, electrical/electronic engineering, civil engineering, industrial engineering, materials engineering, chemical engineering or another relevant engineering specialty.
For EG-03 Stream: Specialization in relevant fields of technology such as Marine Engineering Technology, Chemical or Chemical Engineering Technology, Naval Architecture Technology, Marine Engineering Systems Design Technology, Textiles, Clothing, Heavy Equipment, Aerospace Engineering Technology.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
For EN-ENG-02 Stream:
• May be required to work occasional overtime;
• May be required to travel across Canada and international by any means of transportation;
• May be required to travel to a military base within Canada to complete program assignments up to three months in duration; and
• The position requires that the candidate be capable of and agreeable to participate in military exercises and travel in military vehicles under adverse climatic conditions for the purposes of directing and co-ordinating equipment evaluations and tests.
For PG-02 Stream:
• May be required to work occasional overtime; and
• May be required to travel.
For EG-03 Stream:
• May be required to work occasional overtime; and
• May be required to travel across Canada and internationally by any means of transportation.
For EL-03 Stream:
• May be required to work occasional overtime; and
• May be required to travel across Canada and internationally by any means of transportation.
Reliability Status security clearance
All trainees must attain and maintain a Level II (Secret) security clearance prior to graduating from the Program.
For TI-03 stream:
• Must be capable of and agreeable to regularly travelling to contractors’ facilities;
• Must possess of a valid driver’s license; and
• Candidates will be required to wear protective Clothing as they might be exposed to regular plant hazards such as but not limited to: radiation and nuclear material, volatile fumes, operating machinery, vehicular traffic, noise, fumes, heat and cold.
Reference checks may be sought.
An interview may be administered.
A test may be administered.
