This is a student position of 37.5 hours per week, for a 3 year period (possibility of extension for another year), to begin May 2017

- Be recognized as having full-time student status by the post-secondary academic institution at which you are currently enrolled. (A proof will be required)

- Be the minimum age to work in the province or territory where the job is located.

Duties

Undertake focused and high quality research; Solve conceptual and experimental problems in hydrometallurgy; Publish results in audited journals and present at conferences; and
Submit monthly process reports.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

enrolled in a Master or PhD Program in hydrometallurgy, mineral processing, chemical engineering, materials engineering, mining engineering, or chemistry, in a recognized post-secondary academic institution at which he/she is enrolled as having fulltime student status.

Degree equivalency

Experience in use of solvent extraction methods.
Experience in chemistry labs and health and safety.

Knowledge of hydrometallurgy and mineral processing

Knowledge of separation chemistry used in metals industry
