Intent of the process

ANTICIPATORY : A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established from this selection process and may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures, various linguistic profiles as well as various security clearances within the Canada Border Services Agency.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:
Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics AND experience related to positions in the Financial Management Group.

- OR –

Eligibility for a recognized professional accounting or internal Auditors designation (i.e., CPA, CA, CGA, or CMA).

NOTE:
“Degree” means a baccalaureate or higher level degree.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
Significant* experience in the application and interpretation of accounting principles.

Significant* experience in the preparation or review of internal or external financial reports.

Significant* experience in providing advices and recommendations on complex** financial questions to immediate supervisor or clients.

NOTES :
* “Significant” means direct responsibility during at least two (2) continuous years within the last five (5) years.

**The complexity refers to the depth, breadth of the financial issues being addressed.
