Important messages

When you apply to this selection process, you are not applying for a specific job, but to an inventory for future vacancies. As positions become available, applicants who meet the qualifications may be contacted for further assessment.

The Government of Canada is committed to building a skilled workforce that is representative of Canada's diversity, which includes the recruitment of Canadian Veterans and releasing Canadian Armed Forces personnel:
https://www.canada.ca/en/public-service-commission/jobs/services/gc-jobs/canadian-armed-forces-members-veterans.html

Applications must be submitted through www.canada.ca/government-jobs.

Screening questions have been built into the application process. Answers provided to the screening questions will be used to assess both education and experience. You must answer the screening questions in addition to providing a resume. For experience qualifications, your answers must include concrete examples that demonstrate how the experience was obtained. The onus is on the candidate to provide sufficient information in their answers. Additional information will not be solicited from the candidate. The resume will be used to validate the information provided through the screening questions.

Our intention is to communicate with candidates via email. Candidates who apply on this selection process must include in their application a valid email address and to make sure that this address is functional at all times and accepts messages from unknown users (some email systems block these types of email). Failure to respond in a prescribed timeframe may result in elimination from this process.

Please note that all written communication submitted may be used to evaluate the ability to communicate effectively in writing.

Intent of the process

When you apply to this selection process, you are not applying for a specific job, but to an inventory for future vacancies. As positions become available, applicants who meet the qualifications may be contacted for further assessment.

The assessments will be conducted in Toronto when a pool is created from this inventory. Candidates will be required to pay for their own travel expenses when invited for assessment.

Applicants who meet the essential qualifications will have their application included in the inventory for this ongoing selection process. As positions become available, the applicants meeting the initial screening requirements identified by the hiring manager may be contacted and referred for consideration. Please ensure that your information is updated and remains current in your PSRS Applicant Account.

Your application in this inventory will be active for 160 days. A notice that your application is about to expire will be posted to the My Jobs menu of your account 30 days before the end of your active period. If you do not take action, your application will no longer be active and therefore no longer considered for this inventory. Should your application become inactive while the process is still open, a notice will be posted to your account indicating that your application has expired; you may select the link Update my Inventory Status to reaffirm your interest.
